IU Pixel — What is it and How do I get it?
IU Pixel is an ERC20 token on the Ethereum Blockchain that will allow you to get pixel products. Pixel products are digital assets that will take the form of NFT’s (non-fungible tokens) on the Ethereum blockchain, we call it Pixelate Anything. For those still trapped in the old ICO days, it’s worth mentioning that IU Pixel is using a DeFi distribution model. That means: You do NOT have to purchase the token — The only way to get the token is Yielding it. There are no pre-sales or pre-mined contracts. Everyone can get IU pixel tokens by safely proving they have money (a.k.a. Proof of Liquidity).
IU pixel tokens are not governance tokens. However, having IU pixel tokens will also allow you to participate in the Seeding pool of IU tokens, which are Governance tokens for the upcoming IU DAO, a Decentralized Autonomous Organization in Latin America that ultimately seeks to narrow the gap between capital and innovative ideas and social enterprises. How Do I Get IU Pixel Tokens?
How you start will depend on your answer to this question:
Do you own cryptocurrency?
a) If your answer is NO— First you’ll need to find an exchange that will allow you to exchange your Bad Money (otherwise known as fiat money) into Ethereum. We STRONGLY recommend you do your research. Improper wallet management may result in the irrevocable loss of your money. We recommend you use Metamask — A Third Party browser plugin which enables connectivity to other web-based decentralized applications that use the Ethereum blockchain.
b) If your answer is YES — You have a couple of ways to proceed:
- Do you Hold WPE Tokens? If you do, just go straight into the Balancer Index Pool and Deposit your WPE as a single asset. You will now Hold BPT Liquidity Tokens as Collateral. Now you have to go to the OPES Pool Party Pool and Stake your BPT tokens on the IU Pixel Harvest Pool. These BPT Tokens will Yield you IU Pixel Tokens.
- If you do NOT have WPE Tokens: First you need to go to Uniswap and then Swap Half of your ETH for DAI (Make sure to keep enough extra Ethereum on your wallet for Gas Fees). Now you need to go to the ETH/DAI Uniswap liquidity pool and deposit 50% ETH & 50% DAI. You will now hold UNI-V2 Liquidity Tokens as Collateral. Now you need to go to the IU Pixel Index Pool and Stake the UNI-V2. This will Yield you BPT tokens. Now you need to Stake these BPT tokens on the IU Pixel Harvest Pool inside the OPES Pool Party pool.
And that’s it. You’re now on your way to Yielding the IU Pixel tokens and becoming an early adopter of our pixel products. Make sure to get all the notifications on Medium from IU Pixel to become an early adopter of all our projects.
